Combining a Jack Fuse Electronic Break Glass and the Gallagher Retry the lock setting provides an easily implemented, timed, automatic break glass reset.
The Gallagher security platform, Command Centre, features a useful option under door settings called “Retry The Lock”.
Selecting this option causes the system to check the status of an electronic lock and, if not locked, cycle the lock power in an attempt to re-lock the door. This is useful in several scenarios including when a door may not have initially closed properly and when using an Electronic Break Glass.
When a EBG is activated, the associated door will unlock, providing occupants with an escape path. Gallagher monitors for this and will then retry the lock after a set period. The resulting power cycle will reset the Electronic Break Glass and, thus, re-secure the door automatically.
This functionality can be achieved by simply ticking the Retry the lock check box in Gallagher and has been successfully implemented several times.
